1) Preamble

Dance Beat Academy offers a variety of dance, pilates, and yoga courses. With this wide range of options, you can build and maintain your fitness through cardio, strength, and flexibility training in the long term. In the following text, Dance Beat Academy will be abbreviated as DBA.

Dance Courses:
Our studio specializes primarily in Indian dances, including Bhangra, Giddha, Bollywood, Bolly Fusion, and Contemporary Fusion. To complement our extensive offerings, we also provide exclusive Zumba classes.

Flexibility and Muscle Strengthening:
At the Dance Beat Academy, pilates and yoga classes improve and promote muscle strength and flexibility. It's no secret that listening to your body and mind is crucial in dancing. Therefore, this offering is specifically designed to enhance your flexibility and muscle coordination.

Types of Courses:

You have the option to participate in the following types of courses:

1. Open Classes: Accessible to everyone (except for children's classes).
2. Private Lessons: By arrangement with the course instructors

Not only course participants but also course instructors can find their place at the Dance Beat Academy. If you would like to offer courses in our premises, please get in touch with us! We are looking forward to making our facilities available for your future courses (for details, please contact us).

The studio at Dance Beat Academy can be booked by individuals (for preparations like wedding dances, birthday dances, etc.) or companies can also rent our Dance Beat Academy facilities by the hour upon request.

The costs are 25 EUR per hour during the daytime (from 7am-4pm) and 30 EUR per hour for evening hours (from 4-10pm).

Course Attendance:

All the offered courses can be booked through our website. You can book individual courses or multiple courses at once (bookings of 10 or 20 classes). When booking 10 or 20 classes, there may be corresponding discounts (details provided for each class). Booked course units cannot be refunded. For certain courses (Bhangra Kids), it is possible to book a course spanning several months. Participation throughout theentire period is required to achieve the expected progress in dance skills. Children's courses can be booked by contacting [email protected] After making a payment to DBA, a withdrawal from the children's course as a whole is only possible within 48 hours before the first class. After the course begins, i.e., after the first class, no refund of the course fee is possible.


2) Contractual provision

In the event of a change of instructor, we will make every effort to inform you in a timely manner and find a suitable replacement. In case of emergency, DBA reserves the right to cancel the entire course.

Students must bring a valid student ID. The minimum age to participate in a course is16 years old. Persons younger than 16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or provide a signed parental/guardian consent form to participate.


3) Confirmation of physical health

The fitness program in the Dance Beat Academy studio is an intensive dance cardio program and places high demands on the body and circulation. The participant hereby confirms by their signature and (click) of agreement to have read and understood the General Terms and Conditions that:

1. this form was read,

2. is in perfect physical condition and in healthy condition

3. is over 16 years old and

4. in particular, does not suffer from any cardiovascular diseases or similar ailments associated with sporting activity that pose a risk. The participant hereby confirms that they use the facility at their own risk.

The participant commits themselves to participate in the fitness program of the Dance Beat Academy on their own responsibility and to refrain from participation in case of a relevant change in their state of health.


4) Underage participants and duty of supervision

The legal guardian takes personal liability for all obligations of the minor. Furthermore, the legal guardian has to indemnify and hold harmless the Dance Studio regarding all claims for damages asserted by the minor. The legal guardian, who concludes the contract on behalf of the minor customer, agrees that Dance Beat Academy does not exercise any supervisory duties over the minor. This applies in particular to the behavior immediately before the beginning or after the end of the dance lessons and outside the studio. Participants in general have to follow the house rules, the instructions of the teaching staff and the management.


5) Payment obligation and deadlines

The payment is due immediately and in case of illness or non-attendance for other reasons, there is a possibility to make up the lesson. Under certain circumstances with consultation or email message to the instructor within a week.

Payment is made immediately after booking the dance lesson or booking the block of dance lessons by Paypal or credit card on the website and direct bank transfer for children’s courses.


6) Missed hours

There is no right to compensation for missed dance lessons. Already paid courses/blocks CANNOT be refunded. If already paid courses are not used (due to illness, no-show), no refund.


7)Exclusion

DBA and the course instructor are entitled to immediately exclude participants from the courses/hours for the following - exemplary - reasons.

1. Violation of the contract statutes or house rules
2. Offenses against the decency or disciplinary aspects
3. Indecent behavior
4. Committing an act punishable by law
5. Payment in arrears for more than 31 days
6. In case of exclusion the fee is due immediately

8) Photo and video recording

The participant/legal guardian agrees to provide morally unobjectionable photographs and video recordings of themselves at the instigation of the DBA management for publication free of charge for DBA promotional purposes, as well as to agree to photo and film recordings.

In the course of events and training units, photographs and video recordings are made and subsequently used. This is done for the purpose of documentation and for our own marketing purposes. The purpose of these recordings is to increase popularity. This is done by reporting and advertising future events in audiovisual media (print media, printed works, radio publication as well as online on the website, in the newsletter and in social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram and Youtube, among others). During production and publication, care is taken to ensure that no legitimate interests of persons depicted are violated.


9) Declaration of consent for participation in children's courses

As explained in the section on course participation, the Dance Beat Academy would also like to inspire young participants to dance and offers children's courses for this purpose. For participation, the signing of the consent form by a parent or guardian is required. This statement specifically asks for the consent of the publication of images and video footage of children, which were described as in point 8 of these terms and conditions. 10) Disclaimer

The DBA is not liable for accidents, theft or other damages during courses, workshops and events, as well as on the way to and from the course location. Participation in all courses, workshops and events is at your own risk and health conditions must be assessed by participants on their own responsibility.


11) Privacy

For organizational reasons, the data of the course participants are stored. A transmission of this data to third parties will be made exclusively within the framework of the legal provisions. You will receive our information and newsletters without any obligation.
